Stopping Taxpayers Monies by Shirley deLong
In reference to Emma Mieden’s (8/20/05 - High Point, NC Enterprise Paper) “International Civil Rights Center needs, deserves our
support”, I would like to know what rock she’s been living under?” Don’t you just love the
wives of the affluent that get stuck on a project they know nothing about only that she grew
up in and around Museums? Her comments and I quote “it’s very frustrating that most of
us struggle year after year to raise funds for organizations that are trying to help the poor
and minority communities of the Triad directly by providing the basic necessities of life like
food, shelter, health care, and job training” leads me, and many more, to believe that she’s
out of touch with reality and doesn’t understand that this Center isn’t about helping
anyone but the owners and politicians! Why would her group want to raise money for a
building with a cellar underground with standing water when the owners and politicians
are getting millions of Taxpayers money?
This center isn’t going to help the poor and minority communities, it’s only going to put
more Taxpayers money into the pockets of the ones that own the property and have a big
mortgage for Taxpayers to pay

O Fim dos Conflitos by Ruben Zevallos Jr.
